SSA Program Management
Resources for co-managing your SSA Program. Teamwork rules!
Family Group Management
Family Group Meetings are the “glue” that sustains the SSA Program. Ambassadors should meet with Family Group Leaders twice a month throughout the year to deepen skills and debrief their experiences.

Meeting Tips & Activities
Empower your Ambassadors
- Let Ambassadors name the family groups. Have them create signs/art projects with the family group name to have at meetings.
- Have Ambassadors lead the meetings: take roll, create meeting questions, etc.
- Let the Ambassadors pick a unique meeting place once a quarter.
- Have the kids create their own Crossing the Line activity questions
- Empower Ambassadors to do a presentation for a community group (PTSA, school board, local service club). Share Action Snapshot Campaign data or stories of Ambassadors in Action.
- Create kindness campaigns on campus.
- Remind them that being an Ambassador is great for college and job application!
Celebrate the Positives
- Reward Ambassadors for attending meetings.
- Provide food, snacks for regular meetings, pizza or ice cream for All-Ambassador meeting.
- Have friendly competition between Family Groups, who can record the most Action Logs, who can create the best poster for kindness day, etc.
- Provide certificates/cords for graduating Ambassadors
